Seahawks Secure Postseason Spot with Nail-biting Overtime Triumph over Rams.
Tight end Eric Saubert made the decisive two-point conversion for Seattle.
Seattle engineered a remarkable comeback to defeat the Rams in overtime, clinching their place in the NFL play-offs.
Rallying from a sixteen-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad triumphed by a single point at home, notching their fifth consecutive victory.
While the Rams had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on game day, the Seattle team booked their return to the play-offs after a 24-month absence.
With this result, the Seahawks now lead their division's standings with a 12-3 record, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the number five playoff position with an 11-4 standing.
Game Recap
Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two interceptions but regrouped to make two touchdown passes, including the tying TD to star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.
The visitors held a six-point lead at half-time before Walker burst through for a 55-yard touchdown run for Seattle.
Rams cornerback Wallace then returned Darnold's initial interception for a big return, setting up a short score by Corum on the ensuing snap.
In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Stafford to Nacua pushed the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Shaheed ignited Seattle's hope with a spectacular punt return.
Darnold then connected with Barner in the endzone, and a successful two-point play sent the game into an extra period.
Although Nacua raced in for his second TD in OT, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to setup the game-winning conversion.
